Somebody just crossed a pair off the list.

Leslie's Laces puts brand new shoes on kids' feet for the first day of school. Families ask; supporters cover a pair; a name gets crossed off the board. No child's name is ever public — just a number, a size, and the day it got covered.

It's built in honor of Leslie Morman — a single mother, three-time breast cancer warrior, teacher, community shoulder, and an inspiration to all. This carries her legacy forward: helping kids walk the halls with more confidence, year after year, from the first day of school to the last.
